25 years old, distilled 26th January 1990, 60.2% abv, refill ex-bourbon barrel, 168 bottles

The nose has gingerbread, warm brown bread and a little walnut. The mouthfeel is thin and smooth with a little cling and some fizz. The body has caramel, crystallised ginger, rye bread, and hints of toffee and Terry's dark chocolate oranges. The finish is long but quiet, with ginger and liquorice.

Water brings out thick, expanding whorling that lingers for a short while. The nose now gains hints of Malt Loaf, and a little orange zest. The body gains a little more ginger, but loses the rye bread, and has also gained crystallised oranges. The finish gains the orange sweetness.

A great dram for a dessert.
