25 years old, distilled 15th June 1990, 59.2% abv, Refill Ex-Bourbon Hogshead, 138 bottles

The nose has leather, raisins, caramel and ginger snaps. The mouthfeel is thick with the some cling. The body has toffee, polished wood, vanilla, dried fruits (sultanas and currants) - a lot going on! The finish is dry and sweet with toffee, oak and sultanas.

Water brings out thick, rapidly expanding whorling that settles into brief mottling. The nose gains polished wood, suede and loses the ginger. The body has gained hints of cinnamon and cardamom, and some light fruits - pears and red apples. The finish gains a little more fruit.

A lovely fireside dram.
