11 years old, distilled 7th September 2004, 60.5% abv, First Fill Ex-Bourbon Barrel, 222 bottles

The nose has banana, honey, sponge cake and a little pear. There's also a hint of ginger after a while. The mouthfeel is thin, with a little cling. The body has ginger, lemon, pears, toffee and a hint of thyme. The finish has a little toffee toffee and ginger.

Water brings out thick, short-lived whorling that settles into brief mottling. The nose now gains more pear, cinnamon and a little basil and thyme. The body has more ginger, and less toffee. The finish is unchanged.

A decent dram for dinner. (Remember that means food AS WELL as the whisky!)
