12 years old, distilled 23rd February 2005, 59.3% abv, Refill Ex-Bourbon Barrel, 209 bottles, dram price B

The nose has toffee, caramel, vanilla, apricot, and a hint of kiwi fruit. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has vanilla, cinnamon and sweet chilli - which builds in spiciness as it dries, killing my palate. The finish is chilli and cinnamon.

Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that settles quickly into brief mottling. The nose gains peach. The body gains more chilli, and is now beyond my tolerance. The finish is unchanged.

Not a dram I can easily drink, for obvious reasons.
