The nose has honey, cinnamon and nougat with a hint of red apple. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has a lot of wood - old oak furniture and freshly removed branches full of sap. The finish has red apples, ginger and nutmeg.
Water brings out thick, rapidly expanding whorling that settles quickly into brief mottling. The nose gains more red apple and some hints of pineapple, and loses the honey. It's very woody. The body gains ginger and some red apples, but has become quite spicy. The finish is unchanged.
One for a hipflask, perhaps.
