The nose has soft bonfire smoke, with damp heather thrown on into the fire and hints of lavender. The mouthfeel is thin, with no cling. The body has ash, lavender, toffee chews and pouch tobacco. The finish is ash, bonfire smoke and lavender.
Water brings out rapidly spreading whorling that settles quickly into lingering mottling. The nose has lost the floral sweetness, moving towards liniment and carbolic soap. The body has a small hit of chilli, followed by vanilla and then ash and carbolic. The finish replaces the lavender with vanilla.
A great shoreline dram for summer sunsets.
