SMWS 108.55 - Treasures of the SeaThe nose has smoke from distant charcoal barbecues, seafood being grilled and hints of lemon. The body has waxed lemons, grilled fish, grilled pineapple and hints of charcoal smoke. The finish has lemons, pineapple and barbecue smoke.

Water brings out tight, thin whorling that dissipates quickly without mottling. The nose gains hints of lemon and loses a little of the smoke. The body gains more waxed lemon and pineapple, but loses nothing. The finish gains a touch more lemon.

A light sweet peated dram that has its charms intensified with water.

One for summer evenings.

Technical score: 4.5/5
Personal preference: I’d like more than one bottle.
