The nose has violets, soft leather purses, marzipan and hints of peach. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has violet, apple, pineapple, apricot and a little vanilla. The finish is marzipan and violets with a hint of pineapple.
Water brings out thin, rapidly spreading whorling that settles into brief mottling. The nose gains peaches and apricots, and loses much of the violet. The body gains more apricot, peach and some fudge. The finish gains a little more vanilla and some peach.
This fruit bomb is very much my kind of thing, with only the slightly sharp finish being something to object to. I could nose it for hours!
One for summer days in the garden.
Technical score: 4.5/5
Personal preference: I'd like a bottle.
