SMWS 115.12 - A mixologist's nosebagThe nose is a little quiet - stewed apples, mango, passion fruit, and a hint of bran flakes. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has mango, passion fruit, peaches, apricot and then bran flakes, toffee and a hint of mint leaves. The finish has mango, passion fruit and a hint of mint.

Water brings out tight, thin whorling that settles quickly into very brief mottling. The nose gains toffee and a little more bran flakes, and loses the stewed apples. The body gains more toffee and some cinnamon. The finish gains cinnamon.

A superb fruity dram, especially the unwatered body. I didn’t quite like the cinnamon after water, but I can always just not add water in future!

One for summer mornings.

Technical score: 4/5

Personal preference: I’d have another dram.
