SMWS 115.13 - Inspires the imaginationThe nose has poached pears, apricots, strawberry bubblegum, and a little baked apple. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has strawberry bubblegum, peaches, apricots and baked apples - and a hint of caramel. The finish has caramel, baked apples and strawberry bubblegum.

Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that settles quickly into decent mottling. The nose gains more peach and apricot, and loses the strawberries, pears and baked apples. The body gains more peach and loses the strawberry bubblegum. The finish gains apricot and peach, and loses the baked apples and strawberry bubblegum - and the caramel is a little quieter.

A capable, sweet and fruity dram - with a curious change when water is added. I suspect it will burn off quite quickly, so don’t leave it in the glass for too long! It’s still quite spiritous considering its low abv.

One for summer afternoons.

Technical score: 3.5/5

Personal preference: I’d have another dram.
