12.31 - Flight of the tooth fairyThe nose has lavender and other floral hints, with butterscotch in the background. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has butterscotch, pear drops, green apple and vanilla. The finish has vanilla and lavender, with hints of pear drops.

Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that settles into brief mottling. The nose gains sawdust and toasted bread, and loses the lavender. The body gains sawdust and loses the green apples. The finish gains sawdust and loses the lavender.

An interesting dram - fruity then woody, but never badly balanced.

One for autumn afternoons.

Technical score: 3.5/5

Personal preference: I’d have another dram.
