SMWS 1.272 - Meet the Herb GardenerThe nose is quiet with wisps of dried flowers, hints of incense sticks and fresh oak. The body has dried twigs, toasted oak and pressed violets. The finish has dried twigs and ginger.

Water brings out tight, thin whorling that expands rapidly but doesn’t settle. The nose gains more pressed flowers and hints of rosewater. The body gains more oak and some hints of rosewater. The finish gains pressed flowers and loses the ginger.

Not quite my style - I liked the floral notes but they were never quite strong enough to make me want this dram.

An interesting dram but quite woody. One for spring afternoons.

Technical score: 3.5/5
Personal preference: Just the one dram, thanks.
