SMWS 13.60 - A fumble in the fieldThe nose is light - pears, green apples, hints of sugared barley water. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has pears, green apples, vanilla, new oak furniture and a hint of chalk. The finish has pears and custard.

Water brings out tight, thin whorling that settles into brief mottling. The nose gains soft toffee and loses the barley water. The body gains some toffee, and more oak furniture and green apples. The finish gains green apples and toffee, and the custard is replaced by new oak furniture.

A summer day's dram.

Technical score: 3.5/5

Personal preference: I'd like a bottle.
