The nose has a box of dark chocolates, treacle, old oak furniture and a hint of tobacco. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has liquorice, treacle, dark chocolates and hints of ginger and cloves. The finish is short - liquorice, dark chocolates and tobacco.

Water brings out thick, compact whorling that spreads and dissipates quite rapidly. The nose gains more treacle and loses the old oak furniture and tobacco. The body gains Jamaica cake and loses some of the liquorice. The finish gains ginger.

A very good fireside dram.
