7 years old, distilled 24th September 2010, 59.4% abv, First Fill Ex-Bourbon Barrel, 235 bottles, dram price B
The nose has lemon and "meadow fresh" fabric conditioner. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has lemon, lime, fresh cut grass and a little hint of butterscotch. The finish has lemon and fresh cut grass.
Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that settles into brief mottling. The nose gains butterscotch. The body gains butterscotch and vanilla, and the fresh cut grass is diminished. The finish gains vanilla.
A simple dram, but a pleasure nonetheless.
One for spring mornings.
Technical score: 3/5
Personal preference: I'd like a bottle.
