The nose is a little closed - custard creams, a bag of mixed nuts, and a hint of orange zest. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has oranges, lemons, almonds, peanuts, gingerbread and a little aniseed. The finish is short, with aniseed and lemons.
Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding mottling that settles quickly into brief mottling. The nose gains more lemon and some gingerbread, and loses the nuts. The body gains more of the gingerbread and some liquorice towards the finish, but loses the aniseed and some of the oranges. The finish gains gingerbread.
A very pleasant dram for a long autumnal walk.
