The nose has lavender, sherbet, coal dust, crisp gentle smoke and a hint of Parma Violet. The mouthfeel is thin, with no cling. The body is quiet - clean and simple, with vanilla and hints of lavender followed by hints of smoke. The finish is light smoke and a hint of lemon sherbet.
Water brings out thick whorling that settles into lasting mottling. The nose now gains lemon, with the sherbet diminished. The body has more lavender, with a little lemon and less of the smoke. The finish is much the same.
A very nice dram for autumn days when summer is a recent memory.
