The nose has watch oil, light toffee and hints of lemon. The mouthfeel is thin and smooth but has no cling. The body is quiet - a little watery. The watch oil and toffee are there, then a brief note of cold pastries and then the lemon returns. The finish is lemon and watch oil.
Water brings out tight, rapidly spreading whorling that lingers briefly before settling into mottling. The nose now loses the lemon, but gains a little thyme. The body has gained bitter lemon and hints of liquorice. The finish is unchanged.
A decent dram for winter mornings.
