SMWS 3.284 - Salt and smokeThe nose has lemon bon-bons, lavender, hints of mint and sage, and a constant undertone of fresh tarmac. The mouthfeel is thin with a little cling. The body has a wonderful growing lavender note, which is joined by brine and some sage. The finish is brine, lavender and distant beach bonfires.

Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that settles quickly into short-lived mottling. The nose now loses the bon-bons, and gains a hint of lime. The body has a little less lavender, but gains honeyed notes and lime. The finish is also enhanced by lime.

A treasure of a dram. One for the autumnal nights as the cold starts to draw in; it reminds you of the summer whilst preparing for winter.
