SMWS 35.157 - Reward for a brass bandDram price B

The nose has fresh cut grass, apricot, nougat and dandelions. The mouthfeel is thin with a little cling. The body has orange zest, fudge, currants and hints of lemon. The finish is lemon, fresh cut grass and dandelions. This is quite an intense, big dram in the delivery of its flavours!

Water brings out tight whorling that settles rapidly into brief mottling. The nose now has less of the grass, more of a freshly cut oak note. The apricot is replaced by toffee. The body has less orange zest, more lemon, and the currants are gone - replaced with oak sawdust. The finish similarly sees grass replaced with wood.

A feisty, intense and sweet dram that's ideal for hot summer's days.
