13 years old, distilled 23rd April 2003, 57.9% abv, First-Fill Ex-Bourbon Barrel, 234 bottles

The nose has liquorice, lemon, and sawdust. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has vanilla, cinnamon, toffee and white pepper - warm but not intolerable. The finish is vanilla and lemon.

Water brings out thin whorling which almost immediately spreads into lingering mottling. The nose now has more of the lemon, and some artificial florality - "meadow fresh" fabric conditioner. The body gains more of the white pepper and some raspberry and apple notes. The finish gains white pepper.

A decent dram without water, borderline with - one to have with food.
