The nose has strawberry chews, honey, and hints of bourbon biscuits. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has an immediate hit of cinnamon, then gingerbread and hints of cloves. The finish is cinnamon and honey, with hints of ginger.
Water brings out rapidly expanding thin whorling that settles quickly into brief mottling. The nose now gains hints of linseed oil and fennel, and loses the strawberry chews. The body has less cinnamon, and gains oranges and liquorice. The finish sees the cinnamon replaced by liquorice.
A decent dram for a hip flask in autumn.
