The nose has golden syrup, hints of pineapple, furniture polish and marzipan and slivers of dried apple. The mouthfeel is decent with a little cling. The body has soft pears, red apples, a touch of cinnamon and toffee. The finish is cinnamon and toffee apples.
Water brings out thin whorling that expands into lingering mottling. The nose now gains vanilla and custard, but doesn't lose the original fruit or syrup notes. The body gains gingerbread and more cinnamon, and some icing sugar. The finish is also gains cinnamon.
A very good autumnal lunchtime dram!
