The nose has wax, red apples, pears and pine wood. The mouthfeel is decent, with a little cling. The body has pine and camphor, wax and pears, and a hint of garden soil. The finish has pine wood, pears and wax.
Water brings out tight, thin whoring that rapidly dissipates. The nose now loses the red apples, and gains more waxy notes a new note of tea crates. The body gains tea crates and coal tar soap. The finish gains tea crates.
A very fine dram - probably better for autumnal evenings with company.
Technical score: 4/5
Personal preference: I'd like more than one bottle.
