The nose has pineapple, caramel, rosewater and marzipan. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has pineapple, lemon, violets, toffee and hints of rosewater. The finish is pineapple and lemon.
Water brings out tight, thin, rapidly expanding whorling that settles quickly into lingering mottling. The nose gains green apple and hints of coffee grinds, and loses the marzipan and caramel. The body gains green apple, greengages and loses the rosewater and lemon. The finish gains green apple and coffee grinds.
An incredibly sweet whisky, filled with fruit and complementary flavours.
One for late spring afternoons.
Technical score: 4.5/5
Personal preference: I'd like a bottle.
