30 years old, distilled 24th April 1985, 51.3% abv, refill ex-bourbon hogshead, 188 bottles

The nose has violet and lavender, then peaches and apricot, apple peel and some vanilla. The mouthfeel is thin yet has a little cling. The body has toffee, peanuts, apricot and vanilla. The finish is cinnamon and toffee.

Water brings out thin whorling that settles into long-lasting mottling. The nose now gains a slight cinder toffee note. The body loses the peanuts, but gains a little lavender. The finish is much the same.

A sipping whisky for a hot summer's day.
