The nose has vanilla, ginger, blackberries and plums. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has vanilla and cinnamon, then adds honeyed notes and some ginger. The finish is long with plenty of cinnamon and ginger.
Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that settles into brief mottling. The nose gains raisins and loses the plums. The body gains raisins and currants, and loses some of the honeyed notes. The cinnamon also becomes dominant. The finish gains raisins.
This rides the line of my spice tolerance, but at least brings some interesting fruit notes to make it an interesting experience. One to drink with ice-cream.
