26 years old, distilled 30th April 1990, 58.8%, Refill Ex-Bourbon Hogshead, 186 bottles

The nose is very sweet - but wood spice sweetness, not fruits! Cinnamon, cardamom, sweet oaky notes, and there's also a little hint of cigar boxes. The mouthfeel is smooth and has a little cling. The body has pineapple, cinnamon, oak tables, and a hint of lemon towards the finish. The finish itself is camphor wood and pineapple.

Water brings out rapidly expanding whorling that quickly settles into lasting mottling. The nose now gains pineapple and a little lemon. The body gains lemon, and loses some of the oak notes. The finish has less pineapple, and gains oak.

A lovely dram for breakfast.
