The nose has lemon sherbet, red apple and hints of menthol. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has dark chocolate, tobacco, cinnamon, cinder toffee, sherry and raisins. The finish is cinnamon, sherry, lemon and tobacco.
Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that settles into lingering mottling. The nose gains thyme and oranges, and loses the lemon sherbet. The body gains more cinnamon, charred oak, more of the tobacco and less of the dark chocolate. The finish gains more tobacco. Overall, a little dominated by the cinnamon.
A fine dram for dessert.
