29 years old, distilled 19th June 1989, 52.9% abv, Second Fill Toasted Hogshead, 217 bottles, dram price G
The nose has lychee, lemon, grapefruit and hints of marshmallow. The mouthfeel is decent with no cling. The body has gummi bears, lemon, lime cordial, honey and a little tangerine. The finish has lemon, tangerine and some honey.
Water brings out thick, lazy whorling that dissipates quickly. The nose gains honey, raisins and loses the lemon and lychee. The body also gains more honey and some sultanas. The finish gains more honey.
A wonderful fruit bomb with enough other flavours to make it a joy.
One for summer afternoons.
Technical score: 5/5
Personal preference: I'd like a bottle.
