The nose has pot pourri and pineapple, with a little lemon. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has pear, apple, lemon, and lime towards the finish. The finish has lime and hints of aniseed.
Water brings out thin, compact whorling that settles into brief mottling. The nose gains more floral notes and some pear. The body gains blackcurrant and loses the apple, and has aniseed and paprika towards the finish. The finish is bigger and spicier than before - more aniseed with some lime, lemon and paprika.
Not my style of dram, but brilliantly constructed - one for autumn evenings.
Technical score: 4/5
Personal preference: Just the one dram, thanks.
