SMWS 41.115 - Scottish lemon preservation societyThe nose has polished wood, honeycomb and a hint of custard. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has lemon, pears, custard, honeycomb and cinnamon. The finish has lemon and cinnamon.

Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that doesn’t quite mottle, but does linger. The nose gains lemon and raspberries, and loses the honeycomb. The body gains blackcurrant and more lemon, and loses the custard. The finish gain more cinnamon and some blackcurrant. But retains the lemon.

A little spicy with the cinnamon, but very pleasant - just not in the cold depths of February...

One for summer afternoons.

Technical score: 3.5/5

Personal preference: I’d have another dram.
