11 years old, distilled 14th August 2003, 61.6% abv, first fill ex-bourbon barrel, 215 bottles

The nose has coconut, soft vanilla and a hint of pineapple and lemon. The mouthfeel is thin with a little cling. The body is slightly waxy, with with lemon and ginger and then some toffee and camphor wood. The finish is sweet, with lemon and toffee.

Water brings out thick but compact whorling the lingers for quite a while. The nose gains more lemon, but loses the pineapple. The body loses the ginger, and is now soft toffee and a little lemon - a great balance. The finish is just as delightful - the same flavours, better balanced.

A great dram for a warm autumn day.
