The nose is superb - an initial hit of cardboard that fades quickly, leaving digestive biscuits and lemon-fresh fabric conditioner. The mouthfeel is decent, with a little cling. The body has more of the digestive biscuit and gains hints of hobnobs. There's also some toffee and a little florality - elderflower? The finish is quick but sweet - cardboard and lemon drizzle.
Water brings out tight, compact whorling that lingers for a short while but doesn't mottle. The nose now gains gooseberry, hard pears and a little dusty cardboard. The body is as sweet as before, but has more of the toffee and a hint of lime. The finish also gains a hint of lime.
A superb dram for breakfast, so you're ready to face the day.
