The nose has hoisin sauce and herbal notes. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has lemongrass and oranges, with hints of smoke. The finish has a hint of smoke.
Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that settles into brief mottling. The nose gains toffee, and loses the herbal notes. The body gains a hint of bacon, and the finish is unchanged.
This dram is quiet. Possibly too quiet.
One for winter the start of winter evenings.
Technical score: 2.5/5
Personal preference: I'd have another dram.
