The nose has lemon, camomile, butterscotch and a hint of coal grates. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has butterscotch and lemon, but is quite dry and quiet. The finish is lemon and a hint of vanilla.
Water brings out thin, compact whorling that settles into brief mottling. The nose gains lightly toasted white bread and more butterscotch. The body gains the toasted bread and loses some of the lemon. There's also cinnamon towards the finish. The finish is cinnamon, butterscotch and hints of lemon.
A quiet dram - I suspect a hipflask and body heat will enliven it, otherwise perhaps an aperitif?
