The nose has toasted crumpets, lilies and a hint of strawberries. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has soft toffee, toasted bread and a hint of strawberry jam. The finish is short - just a hint of strawberries and vanilla, then gone.
Water brings out thick, lazy whorling that settles into brief mottling. The nose gains a little cinnamon, which continues into the body and is joined by some vanilla. The finish is unchanged.
A very soft, sweet whisky ideally suited to an aperitif.
