25 years old, distilled 26th January 1990, 56.5% abv, refill ex-bourbon barrel, 91 bottles

The nose has hay bales, fudge, toffee, green apples and hints of pineapple and peach. The mouthfeel is thicker, coating and satisfying. The body is toffee, apricot, green apples, pineapple juice, kiwi fruit and a little grassiness. The finish is sweet, with vanilla and toffee. There's also a little pineapple and green apples.

Water brings out thick, very long lasting whorling - it lasts minutes, which is remarkable. The nose now has more fruit, including baked apples and baked pineapple, with a little hint of lemon. The body has pineapple, kiwi fruit, passion fruit, but has lost the grassiness. The finish has less toffee and more of the fruits - green apples and a hint of lemon.

A great light dram, to start an evening of reserved debauchery.
