23 years old, distilled 17th January 1992, 56.5% abv, refill ex-bourbon hogshead, 260 bottles

The nose has barbecue smoke, vanilla, brine, lemon zest and a hint of pepper. The mouthfeel is very smooth with a decent cling. The body has vanilla, pineapple, brine and damp cardboard. The finish is long and filled with vanilla, crisp smoke and a hint of lemon.

Water brings out thick, lasting whorling that becomes pleasing mottling. The nose now has more smoke and less lemon zest. The body has gained more brine and some nuttiness. The finish gains a little almond.

A decent dram for a beach party.
