The nose has bananas, smoke from burning newspaper, and a hint of burnt bacon. The mouthfeel is thin with a little cling. The body has vanilla, maple syrup, bacon and crisp smoke with hints of paper ash. The finish is paper ash and smoke, with a little vanilla.
Water brings out thick, expanding whorling that lingers as mottling for a while. The nose now gains toffee and plums, with a little cinnamon. The smoke is still present, but a shade lighter. The body gains more vanilla and cinnamon, but loses the maple syrup. The finish is a little smokier.
A lovely light dram for warm autumnal days on the beach.
