The nose has coal smoke, vanilla and freshly landed fish. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has vanilla, lemon, caramel, liquorice and fennel. The finish is smoke and vanilla with a hint of fennel.

Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that settles into brief mottling. The nose gains fennel, caramel and charred oak, but the coal smoke has become less dominant. The body gains more liquorice and loses the lemon. The finish is unchanged.

A fine dram for autumn evenings.
