The nose has shortbread, pears, kiwi fruit and a hint of lime. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has lemon, strawberry, pears, kiwi fruit and a little hint of ginger. The finish is lemon and ginger.
Water brings out compact, thin whorling that rapidly expands into brief mottling. The nose gains more of the pear and a hint of hessian sacks, and loses the lime. The body gains hessian and fresh bread, and loses the strawberry and kiwi fruit. The finish gains a little more ginger.
A fine spring morning dram.
Technical score: 4/5
Personal preference: I'd have another dram.
