14 years old, distilled 26th September 2000, 57.3% abv, refill ex-bourbon hogshead, 313 bottles

The nose has woody, tannic notes at first - twigs, sap, cardamom and taffee. The mouth-feel is thin and warm. The body has toffee, caramel, white pepper and a slight soda cream note. The finish is short and woody.

After water - which provides thick but short-lived whorling - the nose has more cream soda and a lemon zest. The body has big vanilla sweetness of cream soda, with a little heat from some ginger and a hint of fresh grassy meadows. The finish is warm and full of cream soda and fresh sap from deciduous trees.

An interesting and zesty dram that rewards exploration.
