SMWS 55.43 - In the shade of the fruit treeThe nose has green apples, cut grass and hints of sage and thyme. The mouthfeel is decent, very smooth, but little cling. The body is soft and filled with subtle but we'll balanced flavours - apples, pears, pineapple juice, sultanas, vanilla and a little cinnamon. The finish is sweet with vanilla, apple juice and cinnamon.

Water brings out thick, rapidly expanding whorling that settles into brief mottling. The nose has gained more vanilla and lost the herbal hints. The body has gained more cinnamon, and more apple juice. The finish is sweeter, gaining hints of pineapple.

A wonderful dram, but be gentle with the water. Neat, it's one to sip as you watch a game of cricket on a glorious day.
