SMWS 58.26 - 21st century Speyside pizzazzThe nose has fruit salad sweets and soft toffees. The mouthfeel is decent, with no cling. The body has more of the fruit salad sweets, toffee, fudge, sugared barley water and then hints of lemon and cinnamon. The finish has toffee and cinnamon, with hints of lemon.

Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that settles into lingering mottling. The nose gains even more of the fruit salad sweets, and loses the soft toffees. The body gains a little more cinnamon and loses the sugared barley water. The finish gains a little more lemon.

An intriguing dram - one for starting off evenings with friends.

Technical score: 4/5

Personal preference: I'd have another dram.
