63.102 - 99 Flavours

9 years old, distilled 21st February 2013, 62.9% abv, First Fill Ex-Bourbon Barrel, 199 bottles

SMWS 63.102 - 99 FlavoursThe nose has lemon, lime, hessian cloth and hints of frazzles. The body has more of the lemon, lime and then fresh cut grass and raspberry ice-cream. The finish has lemon, fresh cut grass and raspberry ice-cream.

Water brings out thin, rapidly dissipating whorling that doesn’t settle. The nose gains more hessian and hints of rosewater but loses the lime and frazzles. The body gains rosewater and loses the fresh cut grass. The finish gains a hint of rosewater.

This has everything I’d want from a Glentauchers, but not necessarily in the right order. It’s so close!

One for summer evenings.

Technical score: 4.5/5
Personal preference: I’d have another dram.
