12 years old, distilled 26th May 2004, 59.2% abv, First Fill Ex-Bourbon Barrel, 222 bottles

The nose has pine needles, apple, warm croissants and a hint of rosewater. The mouthfeel is decent, with no cling. The body has pineapple, mango, pear, vanilla and green apple. The finish is green apple and pear.

Water brings out thin, rapidly spreading whorling that settles quickly into brief mottling. The nose has more of the apple and rosewater, less of the pine needles and croissants. The body has also gained rosewater, but retains the fruits. The finish also gains rosewater, and loses the pear.

A very nice dram for spring mornings.
