The nose has toffee, and floral perfume - orchids. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has a little chilli heat, but not too much. Then marzipan, ginger and pot pourri. The finish is sweet with marzipan and orchids.

Water brings out decent whorling that expands and then lingers, but doesn't quite mottle. The nose now has dark chocolate toffees, and the floral notes are diminished but still clear. The body has more of the chilli from the undiluted palate, almost closing down my tongue. The finish is unchanged.

A decent dram almost ruined by chilli, I struggle to think about when I'd drink it. Don't let that stop you though!
