11 years old, distilled 21st June 2005, 60.2% abv, Refill Ex-Bourbon Hogshead, 150 bottles

The nose has pork, honey and crisp smoke in sea air. The mouthfeel is thin with no cling. The body has smoke, boiled ham, and honeysuckle. The finish is smoke and honeysuckle.

Water brings out thin, rapidly expanding whorling that lingers briefly before settling into mottling. The nose gains honeysuckle, and the body gains maple syrup. The finish is unchanged.

A superb light peating, one for spring evenings - when it's not cold, but there's a slight nip in the night air.
