9 years old, distilled 19th May 2006, 59.2% abv, refill ex-bourbon barrel, 244 bottles

The nose is full of freshness - lemon and lime juices, buttercups, vanilla, and a hint of freshly cut grass. The mouthfeel is thin with little cling. The body has lemon sherbet, caramel and a hint of herbs. The finish is lemon and fresh cut grass.

Water brings out thin mottling that expands rapidly but doesn't linger. The nose loses the vanilla but gains more cut grass. The body has more herbs, less caramel. The finish is much the same.

A dram for a hot summer's midday.
